Dog Boarding & Daycare Tips
When choosing a dog
boarding facility, look at where your cat or dog will be sleeping. Make
sure that the kennels are of adequate size and that they are separated
from other animals properly.
When dropping your
animal off at a kennel or doggie daycare, be sure to bring their latest
vaccination records.
Has your dog never been
in a kennel before? Before leaving him or her in a kennel for an extended
period of time, get them used to it by leaving them for a quick weekend
trip.
Do you have a dog in an
apartment? Consider doggie daycare. It will keep your dog from ruining
your home and will give them the exercise that they need.
While your dog is
boarding, have your kennel or boarding facility train them. Its a
convenient time to brush your dog up on his training.
When boarding your pet,
bring a supply of their own food. Kennels will gladly accommodate you and
it will keep your animal from having an upset stomach and/or diarrhea.
When dropping your dog
off at the dog boarder, try not to be too emotional. Your dog will feed
off of your emotions and it will make an anxious time even worse. |
